About Us

Kolssak Funeral Home was founded in 1930 by Louis and Priscilla Kolssak I on the west side of the city of Chicago (4255 West Division Street). Louis and Carolyn Kolssak II moved the business to  Milwaukee Avenue in Wheeling, Illinois in 1973.  Lou Kolssak II passed away in April of 2015.  The funeral home has been entrusted to Jon Kolssak to carry on the family legacy.  He takes great pride in blending traditional funeral elements with new ideas to create meaningful Life Celebrations.

Jon has assembled a great team of professionals that will guide families on their final journey.  We understand that funeral planning can be a very stressful time.  It is our goal to walk alongside you, listen to your wishes and lighten your burden.  In return we will coordinate a service that reflects a life well lived.  We are honored to answer questions at any time (day or night).
