William G. “Bill” Hoos, age 74, of Wheeling. Bill was born on October 27, 1946 and took his final run down the Mississippi River on July 18, 2021. Survived by Connie, his loving bride of 40 years. Proud father of Kim (Scott) Lilley, Jenn (Jim) Sheppard, Billy, and Natalie Hoos. Grandfather of John (Leanne), and Daniel Stelling, Kaitlyn Remian, Jimmy Sheppard, and Aaron Lilley. Great-grandfather of Damien, Skylar, and Dallas. Adored brother of Alan (Donna), Bob (Sandy), Tim, Terry (Cindy), and Jeff (Annette) Hoos (aka “The Hoos Boys”). Brother-in-law of Chris (Sue), Mike (Robin) Reif, and Shari (Bob) Ignoffo. Cherished uncle and friend of many. Bill proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He served as a Wheeling police detective. He was a long time Real Estate Broker with Coldwell Banker Realty. Visitation Thursday 3-8pm at Kolssak Funeral Home 189 S Milwaukee Ave Wheeling, IL. Life Celebration Mass Friday 10:30am at St Joseph the Worker Church 181 W Dundee Road Wheeling, IL.
