Yvonne Marie Herlihey, age 93, beloved wife of the late Michael F. Herlihey DVM, died peacefully at home on September 9, 2022. Loving mother of Maureen (Robert) Carson MD, Mary Ellen (Paul Worland) Herlihey, James (Janet) Herlihey, and the late Michael and Donna Herlihey, loving sister of Kenneth Dion, adored grandmother of Katelyn (Matthew) Martin, Quinn (Hollyanne) Carson, Daniel and Neil Carson, Colleen and Kevin Kearns, Brother Michael OFM Cap, Paul, Peter (Emily) and Elizabeth Herlihey, proud great-grandmother of Isaac and Ameena Martin and Zion Carson. A longtime Chicago South Sider, Yvonne moved to Sedgebrook in Lincolnshire in 2011. She will be fondly remembered for her beautiful smile, her kindness and generosity, her cookies and wonderful parties, and her abiding faith.
Visitation Thursday, September 22, 2022, 3 - 8 p.m. Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave, Wheeling. Funeral Mass Friday, September 23, 2022, 11 a.m. St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove.
