Hon. Judge Edward M Fiala Jr. age 86 of Northbrook since 1970. Beloved husband of Sue nee Scroggs for 64 years. Loving father of Libby (Mike) Conjura, Edward (Nancy) Fiala III and Susan Kahanic. Dear grandfather of Billy (Tammy), Brenda, David (Katie), Alexander, Emily, Andrew and Edward IV. Fond brother of the late Patricia and Ronald (late Jean) Fiala. Uncle of many.
After a long and successful career in private legal practice, Judge Fiala proudly served on the bench in Cook County from 1976-2002. In 1990 he realized his childhood dream of being appointed to Criminal Court at 26th and California in Chicago. There he quickly gained a reputation among his colleagues as a keen jurist and a true gentleman.
Visitation Thursday 3-8 pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road) Wheeling and will continue Friday at 9:00 am until time of Life Celebration Service 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
