Mom...may the light of the Lord you sparked in all of us continue to shine. I hope I can follow your lead as a faithfilled mother, wife, and friend. Thank you for showing me how to truly be strong through times of adversity and how a strong faith can guide others as well. Thanks for your strength and guiding hands. Love you mom!

May she rest in peace and find solace in the arms of our Father and Creator. Gerry was such a beautiful person, inside and out. She always has that smile and reassuring voice, was always there to be of help. I worked with her at The Wealshire from 2007, and I remember her as one jolly but very professional person that no matter how difficult her personal situation is, she would still managed to set it aside and do what her job asked of her. She will be missed not just by her family but by all the people that she had touched. My deepest condolences to the rest of the family.

I cannot express my sympathy for your family during this time. Gerry was someone who pulled you into her world. I never knew on the day I met her during Julie's volleyball tryout that I would be fortunate to become a part of her family. Through Julie, our friendship grew. I remember picking up Julie at the airport in Chicago a day earlier than she thought we were coming. We surprised her at a restaurant we convinced Sharon and Leon take her to so we could surprise her. Funny thing, we walked in and went up to the table and she thought we were waitresses and started to place her order. Then she took a double take and couldn't believe it was us. She said you aren't supposes to be here until tomorrow. We both said we could leave, she laughed and called us stinkers! Thanks for letting me be a part of her lives and your entire family. We are all blessed to have had her be a part of our lives. Beverly and Chris Alred send their love as well.

This candle is being lit for how bright you light shined to all who knew you. You always knew when someone needed a phone call, a card or a hug. Jesus has a very bright star in his loving arms.

My heart felt condolences. I have been praying for all of you in this most sad time. Gerry will be missed by so many. Even though I have only know Gerry a couple of years, I have been blessed to call her a sister in Christ. I so enjoyed our few lunches we shared here in Angola. She was a bright spot in my day. Her beautiful smile when I saw her at St. Anthony's and the hugs were even better. She was an amazing lady...but you have known that way before me. Her happy dance with Jesus is one she has so wanted but I know she would be here holding each of your hearts dear to her. Love you all and God bless you. With a heavy heart, Ruth

Dearest Julie,
I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your great mama. Although I only got to briefly know her, I feel I know her well because of how she shines through you. A beautiful woman of God with faith that could move mountains. I remember how saddened we were when your mom couldn't join the retreat, but how overjoyed we were to see her a week later at the final meeting. Her love for the Lord just shone out from her smile, her gentleness. I am so blessed to have gotten to know you Julie and to be able to meet your mom. Although death is heavy on the heart, I know all of heaven is rejoicing to welcome your mama home to worship our God the Father and His son Jesus Christ forever. I am praying for you and your family dear faith sister!
Ask! Believe! and Receive!
Love, April

I didn't know Gerry very long but in my heart I feel I've known her for a life time. I consider her as one of my dearest friends. She was the most kindest, loving, caring, supportative friend and my sister in Christ. Gerry is truly a servant of God she didn't just speak the word she walked it in her every day life. The last card I received November 6th she talked how we have to encourage others to walk the walk until we are called home. I will forever miss Gerry & her beautiful cards of encouragement. I know some day I will see my dear friend again.

To Gerry's Family:
It was late last night and I said a prayer for my friend Gerry. I had not heard from her in a couple of weeks and I thought I will email her in the morning. This morning as I opened my computer I found the news and I am so saddened.
Gerry was my friend and supporter especially after my husband passed away last year. She was the office manager at my husband Darrel's office for many years. More recently, Gerry and I connected through email messages mainly but we had breakfast a couple of times recently also and I just thought it would continue. She was an inspiration to me and I relied on her for comfort as she would always tell stories that up lifted my spirit. I will miss her dearly.
Take comfort in that she lives on in you and all of us. Her energy and spirit are here; it is not gone, even though she is with God now.
Love to you all,
Shirley Mitchell (Whynot)

Gerry was always smiling when she came in the office, and that smile even came through over the phone. The room lit up when she walked in ready to give you a hug. I only knew her as one of the staff who obtained her insurance approvals but she was much more than a patient- she was an Angel that walked among us. I am honored to have known her and received her hugs.

I worked with Gerry at M & S Sales for many years. She was such an amazing light in my life in those days. We were almost 20 years apart in years but we became special friends meeting for dinner as much as our busy lives would allow. We shared laughs, shopping tips, recipes, I still have many of her handwritten recipes which I will cherish. She had the most positive attitude of anyone I knew always giving me a better outlook. I am sure it was this attitude and strong faith that guided her through the dark days of cancer. I just lost my mother in May to breast cancer so this difficult journey is fresh in my mind.
Every year for Christmas Gerry would give me an angel, now she is my special angel in heaven.
Blessings to Richard and the rest of your wonderful family, she will be missed.
