Mrs. Holmboe was my art teacher at Holmes, and I will never forget the kindness she displayed towards all of her students. I feel lucky to have been her student. I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family.

My condolences to Mrs. Holmboe's family and friends. She was one of my middle school art teachers over 10 years ago. I am very sad to hear of her passing. May she rest in peace

Nancy was the best teacher I've ever shared a room with, in multiple ways. Her generosity toward me and toward her students shaped my first year at Holmes. I saw her teach art, perseverance, patience, and discipline. I learned those things from her too (though maybe not much art, alas). I'm so grateful I got to be her colleague. I'm praying for her family and friends who are missing her now; may you find comfort and joy today.

It is difficult to know the impact a person has on you until they are no longer around. I always enjoyed talking with Nancy about life at school, our kids, scrap booking and whatever life threw our way. As a warm and funny person, I admired her for cheerful personality and ability to roll with it all. She always talked about her boys with a twinkle in her eye and love in her heart - no matter what they were doing. Like many who have left or retired from Holmes, I have missed her. It makes me sad to know that our paths will not cross, there will be no more Red Hat Pictures and that her boys are without their cherished wife and mother. Rest in Peace, Nancy...you were loved.
