George G. Hieber age 81 of Wheeling for 56 years. Beloved husband of Estelle nee Pawlak for 60 years. Loving father of Diane (Joe Clement) Goodman, Donna (Bob) Hansen and John (Teresa) Hieber. Dear grandpa of Mindy (Mahdi) Al Momani, Krystal (Dustin) Strasser, Kendra (Andrew) Pasek, Kimmy Hansen, Tori Hieber and Walter HieberMelissa Ssaimick and Daniel Ssaimick. Great grandpa of Kyler, Kaden, Arabella, Brianna, Elijah, Eman and Ghaleb. Fond brother of the late Edward, Mary Jane and Sarah. Uncle and cousin of many. George was a very active Wheeling Citizen and loved his community and neighbors. He will be awarded Monday 6:30 pm March 7th at Village of Wheeling Board meeting with the 1st Annual George Hieber Outstanding Citizen Award. Visitation Tuesday March 8th 3-8 pm. Funeral Prayers Wednesday at 9:15 am at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road) Wheeling followed by a 10:00 am Life Celebration Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 181 W. Dundee Road Wheeling. Entombment All Saints Mausoleum.
