Joseph A. LaGrippe age 90 of Prospect Heights, IL. Beloved husband of the late Dolores nee Demlow for 56 ½ years. Loving father of Linda (Ron) Fain and JoAnn (Jerry) D’Angelo - Hermes. Dear grandpa of Joe (Chrissy) D’Angelo, Ryan (Marcie) Fain, Scott (Cory) Fain, Lisa (Chris) Paradis and Nicole (Tim) Hajewski. Great grandpa of Jenna, Brandon, Anthony, Jacob, Andrew, Abigail, Ava, Evelyn, Liam, Xander, JT, Audrey and Ellie. Fond brother of Lucille (Ed) Stine, John (Joanne) LaGrippe and Lorry (Tom) Netzband. Uncle and cousin of many. Joe was a decorated WWII Veteran. In 1945 Joe earned the Bronze Star for bravery in action with the 40th Infantry Division in the Philippine Islands and also fought courageously in the South Pacific with eyes set on the invasion of Japan if called upon. Joe retired as an Insurance Agent from State Farm after 32 successful years.
Visitation Sunday 12-5 pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road) Wheeling and will continue Monday 9:30 am at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 411 North Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights, IL followed by a 10:30 am Life Celebration Mass.
