Sarah Randolph posted a condolence

Lockport School District #91 and Mrs. Sarah Randolph send their love and sympathy to the family. Jim was so good to play for Dr. Reno Caneva's composition of "The Pledge of Allegiance" when the Kelvin Grove Chorus performed the debut of it and subsequent performances thereafter at our school. Jim generously helped the Kelvin Grove Organ Department in repairing some of the organs which our students use. Jim was a gifted musician who was always willing to help support and promote music - especially with his church and our school. We appreciated his genious and generosity. I always enjoyed visiting the First Congregational Church and hearing the beautiful organ he designed and helped build! He raised a lovely family, which I later had the honor of teaching some of his grandchildren and enjoyed working with Esme' in the Kelvin Grove Chorus. May God Bless and Comfort all of Jim's family.

Jim and Shirley Stephenson were neighbors of my parents for over 40 years. They were the best. Bless you as you mourn your DAd’s passing....what a life well lived. Mary Beth (Devine) Reiter

Having been Jim personal barber for the last 20 years, I feel honored to have met such a nice person. He was highly intelectual, well read, fair in his judgement of world religion and politic, reasonable, and very modest .I'm so sorry to see Jim decline, and go away like this.
My condolences and prayers are with the family at this sad time.

I wanted to express my deepest condolences to his loved ones. I briefly worked at Kinetic Systems in the late 1990s. I was a lowly, new hire with little experience, a nobody, and yet "Mr. Stephenson" (to me) very kindly gave me a personal tour of the building and taught me some of the company's history. I could see his passion for his work, and I know that people like that touch so many others in their lives, so I am sure there are many with heavy hearts today. I share your loss and envy the blessings you had from knowing him.
