Unfortunately I hadn't gotten to see my Uncle Don for a very long time. What I remember most about him was his generosity.
If you needed help and he thought he could help in any way he was there. Whether is was opening up his home to host you or coming to yours to help run the duct work or any number of projects around your house, he was there to help. He was smart too. If he didn't already know the answer he knew how to find out and he'd make sure you knew how too. He would share anything with you, his time, his skills (and there were many), his knowledge , the food on his table, anything you needed even if what you needed was a good straightening out. One of the last times I saw Don was when I needed just that. I was 14 ish and still cruisin' for a bruisin' and my mother was at her wits end. And there he was, trying to make our lives better. That's what he did, he tried to help make your life better by sharing whatever he could. And he passed that down to his kids and at least one other that maybe didn't seem like he was listening at the time. Peace be with you Uncle Don and thank you.
