Leon D. Xintaris, age 72, of Deerfield, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2020. Born in Athens, Greece, on January 21, 1948, Leon was the son of the late Demetrios and Andromachi (nee Athanassiadou) Xintaris. Beloved husband of Levvy (nee Petrianou) for 46 years, proud father of Kelly and Jim (Angela), and adored grandfather of William. Dear brother of Spyros, Pelos (Roma), and the late Costas (Rachel). Cherished uncle and cousin of many, in the US and in Greece. Leon was a graduate of the Bank Administration Institute and had a distinguished career in banking, retiring as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Columbia National Bank of Chicago. Visitation Wednesday December 30, 2020 at 10:00 am at Ascension of Our Lord Greek Orthodox Church, 1207 Riverwoods Road, Lincolnshire, followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 am. The Service will be live streamed at https://www.ascensiongoc.com/livestream beginning at 10:55 am. Interment Vernon Township Cemetery, Vernon Hills, IL.
