Mike was my best friend in high school and he was best man at my wedding 34 years ago. He was also god father to my daughter. I lost track of Mike and I really wanted to re-connect with him. Every now and then I would search Google or Facebook looking for him. i don't know what made me try again today. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing.

Rest peacefully, Mike! You always treated me like family and I will forever be grateful for the love you had for my baby. I will always remember when Sawyer, Robbie and I came to your house and you guys played guitar and sang songs. Seeing this in print makes it more real, yet it still is hard to grasp Mike's soul has left this earth. Mike always treated me with such kindness. He was a happy, loving family man - my favorite kind of person. My heart goes out to all the Bock family. He was taken way too soon and the gap he leaves behind will be filled with happy memories, funny stories and knowing how much he loved each of you. He loved you so much he would want to you remember the past but look to the future and live the life that will make him proud. He will always be alive in your hearts and your memories. Share the memories so the little ones never forget him! I truly am so sorry for your loss. Love you all!

I had the pleasure of knowing Mike and working with him thru the Lake County Mounted Posse riding club. I will miss his jokes while sitting around the campfires in Shawnee. He was such a good and loving person. My sincere condolences to his beautiful wife and children.

My heartfelt condolences to Cynthia and children, Peggy, Alan, Roxann and Robbie. Our hearts are broken as Michael left us all to soon. He had such a uplifting, sweet personality, always smiling and giving to others. Even though we all knew he suffered so much. I have wonderful memories of Michael growing up with my children. They loved being together. A part of them is missing now and will be forever. As they loved him so much. God bless his beautiful soul and keep his family safe.

Mike Keefe,
50 years ago I entered upon the playground of St Joseph school to start 3rd grade. My family just moved to Libertyville and I knew no one, was shy and frightened. Within moments of my arrival, a stocky lad crossed the playground and as he approached I was greeted by a big smile, an extended hand and a booming voice... " hi, I'm Mike Bock " We were friends ever after.
The years passed, life descends on us all, Mike and I would check in on each other and I was always glad to hear from him.
Mike loved his family and delighted in fatherhood.
On hearing the sad news I reflected on our friendship and had such heartwarming memories.
Almighty God assigns each of us an expiration date; until that day arrives we are given a choice...will we be a blessing to others, or a burden? Mike was absolutely a blessing!
