Obituary of Virginia Ann Ferrari

Virginia Ann Ferrari née Gerber, age 91, died surrounded by her loved ones at the Pepper Family Hospice Care Center in Barrington, IL on August 24, 2021. Born August 28, 1929 Coban, WI, Ginny was raised in North Fond Du Lac, WI. After graduating from High School in 1947 she moved to Highwood, Illinois where she met and married the love of her life Tony Ferrari in 1948. She raised her family in Highland Park, IL where she worked at City Hall and Curriculum Innovations. A loving involved mother, friend and neighbor, Ginny always had time to lend a hand or have a chat over a cup of coffee. She had a passion for golf, bridge, football and politics. In later years she relocated to Vernon Hills where she was an active member of the Lake County Women’s League. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Anthony J Ferrari and daughter Kathryn Ferrari Ahlstrom. She is survived by sons Michael (Barbara) Ferrari, Rob (Laura) Ferrari and daughter Milissa Ferrari; Beloved grandchildren Gina Ferrari, Tony Ferrari, Mark Ferrari, Michael Ferrari, Joe Ferrari, Stefanie Ferrari, Nathalie Rayter, Jack Rayter, Sarah Ahlstrom and John Bopp; Beloved great grandchildren Jasmine Ferrari, Fenix Rodriguez, Roman Ferrari, Monroe Ferrari, Bennett Bopp and Bria Bopp. A private memorial will be held.
