Obituary of Rose M. McNelis

Rose M. McNelis nee Merle, age 86, of Buffalo Grove passed away peacefully at home. Loving wife of the late Thomas C. McNelis. Caring mother of Maureen Madson, Michael (Heidi) McNelis, Sue (Ed) Holman, the late Frank McNelis, Sally (Terry) Gombert, Thomas (Margaret) McNelis and Rose (Tomas) McCarty. Adored Grandmother “Gram” of Sarah, Heather (Erik), Tom, Caitlin (Steven), Kenny, Dan (Kaitlyn), Tim, Betsy, Julianna, Herb, Joey, Erin, Brigid, Brendan and Great-Grandma to Emelia. Cherished sister of Magdalene Merle, Barbara Rose, and Mary Ann Erickson. Beloved Aunt and Great Aunt to many. She will also be missed by many friends and neighbors. Life celebration Mass Monday 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove with prayers at the funeral home at 9am. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 12 noon to 7pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave (2 blocks south of Dundee) Wheeling. Masses in her memory would be appreciated.
