My dad and I clashed sometimes. I know it was because we were so much alike. Many times I’d purposely find a different way to do things even though his way would’ve been my first choice. I was exercising my independence as he taught me. I know I got my temper from my dad. I call it moxie. I already miss my dad tremendously. But I have so many memories that I will always have and cherish. My dad was a strong yet gentle man. He was tough on us kids sometimes, but that made us who we are today. He set such good examples and instilled in us all the good things on how to be a decent person. He lived a full and very good life! I love you dad! ❤️ Misha

I hired Ed in the summer of 1971 to work for the CEA (which later became the CFTC). Ed was an honest and hard working employee. A man of integrity. A quick learner. Oh, and stubborn too. We carpooled for several years until he transferred to San Francisco. Ed was not just a good employee but a good friend. When my wife and I moved to Kansas we had one child. We looked toward Ed, Mary and his kids to help us get adjusted to a new home and to being new parents. Eventually we had 3 kids and the Wasinger's became reliable advisors and baby sitters. Yes we all will miss Ed but we also know that he is in good hands of our Father in Heaven. May God bless the Wasinger family and may Ed's soul rest in peace.
