Obituary of Karen L Meeks

Karen L. Meeks We are deeply saddened by the passing of Karen L. Meeks (Klasen) who died on Monday, December 27, 2021 after her battle with heart disease. She is survived and cherished by her daughter Jessica (Juan) Zepeda, granddaughters Nina and Nicole Zepeda, step-daughters; Heather Meeks and Stacey Gibbs and current husband Cliff Sistrunk. She was a beloved aunt, cousin and friend to so many. Karen married John W. Meeks in 1968 in Wheeling, Ill, they moved to California in the early 1970's and were married for 32 years before John's passing in 2000. She made a career in sales, primarily in the family business, Meeks RV before retiring and recently moving back "home" to Illinois. In addition to her dog Kipper and being Nonni to her grandbabies, Karen's other loves were cooking and baking, which she enjoyed sharing with many. Those who knew Karen, knew her quick sense of humor, ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, and her talent for making lasting friendships wherever she went. She was always willing to help wherever she could and made sure we knew how much she loved and cared for us all. A public memorial service will be held in the late spring/early summer, details to follow.
