William J. Balmes Jr., age 93, of Glencoe. Devoted husband of the late Caroline nee Pasinato. Loving father of Michael (Kelli) Balmes and Nancy (Bruce) Miklautsch. Proud grandfather of Tyler, Conor (Alexis), Andrew and Adam Balmes and Yvonne (Mike) Macias, Henry, Madeline, and Ben Miklautsch. Dear brother of Walter, and the late Richard and the late Dave. Fond uncle and cousin of many. He served proudly in the US Army in Japan from 1946-48. He attended Loyola University on the GI bill after returning home from the service. He greatly enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards and bocce ball. He greatly enjoyed traveling with his wife. In lieu of flowers donations to Catholic Charities at catholiccharitiesusa.org or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at lls.org appreciated. Visitation Saturday 10:30am followed by an 11:00am Life Celebration Mass at Sacred Heart Divine Mercy Chapel, 1077 Tower Rd. Winnetka, IL. Interment to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery Northbrook, IL.
