Emile and Shari Johnson were recognized in 2015 for their generous support of the William H. Adams Youth Foundation of Columbus, OH. Their donation was made in memory of Shari’s mother, Mrs. Frances Smith and uncle, Mr. Johnny Jones, who resided in the Columbus Shepard neighborhood for over 50 years. The Foundation mourns the loss of our dear friend and prays that he shall find peace within the Lord's Grace.

Dearest Johnson Family,
I just received word of the passing of Emile. I was shocked and of course saddened. I have known Emile and all of you going back 28 years when Andrew and Eric were just 6 years old (BGRA)! Words cannot explain my feeling right now, Emile was one of the most wonderful men I have ever met. A sweetheart of a guy, an entrepreneur, an athlete, one of the friendliest and warmest gentlemen around. I will miss our MANY, MANY talks about family, sports and business we would have in our office building. Whenever I heard his voice echo in the atrium area I would run out and tell him, "this is a place of business, some of us have to work!" I am saddened to hear of the loss of Emile Johnson. I knew him as an extraordinary Board member for Catholic Charities of Chicago. He was consistently present, contributing all of his deep expertise.
