Demetrios “James” Vasilopoulos, age 88 of Mt. Prospect. Beloved husband of Vasiliki Vasilopoulos nee Georgopoulos for 54 years. Loving father of Bill (Paula) and Opie (Maria) Vasilopoulos. Adored pappou of Vicki, Avery, Jamie & Dimitri. Fond brother of the late Procopios (Helen) and Stavroula Vasilopoulos. Dear brother-in-law of many in Greece and Australia. Loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Family and friends will gather Friday August 5th at 11 am at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 2350 E Dempster St, Des Plaines. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 am. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove.
