SFC Jason Powell age 47 of Vernon Hills. Beloved husband of Kelsey Schmitt. Loving father of Noah, Michael, Benjamin and Penny Powell. Cherished son of Carol (nee Novak) Powell and Randy Powell. Fond brother of Eric and Justin (Brandy) Powell. Uncle, Cousin, and Friend of many. Jason served his country for over 29 years as a Marine and in the Army. Memorial Visitation Wednesday 4-8 pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road) Wheeling. Visitation will continue Thursday 9:30 am at St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church, 236 US-45, Indian Creek, IL followed by a Life Celebration Mass at 10:30 am. Inurnment Private.
