Obituary of Thomas M. Harlin
Please share a memory of Thomas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Thomas M. Harlin, 62, of Hanover Park, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on December 13. Tom grew up in Buffalo Grove and graduated from Buffalo Grove High School. For over 40 years, he was a dedicated worker at Edlong Flavors.
Tom enjoyed hunting and was a skilled angler. He loved classic rock and knew all the verses to "American Pie". He could make a 9x13 dish of tuna noodle casserole disappear overnight. The Outsiders was his favorite book, having read it numerous times. He loved John Wayne movies, the Denver Broncos, and his bright orange Bronco's jacket. He was a master at grilling!
Thanksgiving was Tom's favorite holiday. It brought him much joy bringing the family together. Tom loved his friends and family. He especially loved getting down on the floor to play with his grandchildren. He was a kid at heart.
Tom was thoughtful, and loving, and quietly sentimental. He was also happy and silly. Easy to laughter, incredibly unselfish.
A good friend. A dependable brother. A supportive husband. A loving son, father and grandfather, and will be terribly missed.
Beloved husband of Roberta Beskow-Harlin for 8 years. Loving father of Donny (Kristina), Michael (Amanda), Amber, Brooke (William), and the late John Patrick and Phillip Michael. Adored grandfather of Grace, Kaylen, Joseph, Emma, Penelope, Liam, Beckett, and Amelia. Cherished brother of Susan (Pete), Kathy (Gene), Anne (Gary), and Mike. Loving uncle, cousin, brother-in-law, and friend to many.
