Kathryn L. Abangan, age 74 of Buffalo Grove, passed away on December 17th. Beloved wife of the late Demetrio Abangan. Loving mother of David Abangan, Debra (Emerson) Neer, Donna (late Tracy) Bryant, Steven (Jennifer) Abangan and the late John Abangan. Adored grandmother of Ashley, Carly, Vincent, Andrew, Zachary, Alex, Demetria, Stevie, and Justice. Cherished sister of William (Dale) Bajorat. Loving aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Kathy proudly served the Buffalo Grove Fire Department for over 30 years as an Office Manager. The men and women of the department embraced her as part of the family, which she cherished and was forever grateful. Kathy further served the community as an active member of the Illinois Fire Service Administrative Professionals Association for 10 years, including being President. She loved her family and grandchildren immensely and will be deeply missed. Memorial Visitation Sunday, January 8th from 12 pm to 3 pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S Milwaukee Ave (2 Blocks South of Dundee Rd), Wheeling. A life celebration will follow at 3 pm. Inurnment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Camp I Am Me, a camp for children who experienced injuries from burns, through the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance can be sent to 426 West Northwest Highway, Mt.
