Obituary of Gerald Creel

On January 9th, Gerald (Jerry) James Creel, age 80, of Fisher, IL was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jerry was a family man who loved nothing more than to be surrounded by his family. He was a master tradesman who enjoyed using his skills to help others. Jerry touched many lives through his years in the trades and running his auto shop with the love of his life, Marlene. Jerry had a volunteer spirit and coached numerous youth baseball and football teams. He continued to volunteer after his retirement by being the church handyman. Jerry was preceded in death by his dear wife, the late Marlene (nee Van Dyke) Creel. Loving dad of Julie Creel, Jeff (Kristan) Creel, and Dan (Jessi) Creel. Dear grandpa of Jenny (Sean), Luke, Jacob, Hannah, Savannah, Aspen, and Sienna. Great grandpa of Dylan and Madison. Cherished brother of Janet (Rod) Wetzel. Uncle, cousin and friend of many. Memorial Visitation Monday January 16th from 4:00-6:00 pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road) Wheeling. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 21st, 3:00 pm at Grace Church of Mahomet, 800 West Oak Street, Mahomet, IL.
