Obituary of Roland J. Schwind

Roland J. Schwind, age 85 of Prairie View, left this world on April 25, 2013 surrounded by his family and entered the arms of his eternal Father. A part of us went with him the day God called him home. Loving husband for 62 years to Elizabeth nee Horcher. Cherished father of Karen (Sammy) Bingham and Deborah (Michael) Holm. Devoted grandfather of Robert (Jamie) and Kenneth (Nicole) Bingham and Mike and Mary Holm. Great-grandfather of Alex, Sean and Logan Bingham. Dear brother of Lucille (Bob) Griep and the late Leon Schwind. He was also preceded in death by his parents Alfonse and Lucy Schwind nee Schneider. Roland was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Mary Men’s Club. He was also a past director of the Cook County Farm Bureau and Lake Cook Farm Supply “Conserve”. Visitation Sunday noon to 5pm at Kolssak Funeral Home 189 S Milwaukee Ave (2 blocks South of Dundee) Wheeling. Funeral prayers Monday 9:15am at the funeral home for a Life Celebration Mass 10am at St Mary Church 10 N Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove. Interment to follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
