Christ Gerdes, age 83, of Wheeling. Beloved husband for 56 years of Annemarie Gerdes. Devoted and cherished father of Rebecca Bowden (Michael), Gerd (Maureen) and Joe (Paula) Gerdes. Loving grandfather of Charlene, Nicholas, Christian “CJ” and Lukas. Fond uncle of many. Visitation Tuesday 4-8pm at Kolssak Funeral Home 189 S. Milwaukee Ave (2 blocks South of Dundee) Wheeling. Memorial Celebration of Life Wednesday 11am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to any local animal rescue would be appreciated.
