Maryann Crowe, age 73, preceded in death by her parents, the late Raymond and Anna Johnson Sr., her brothers the late Raymond (Catherine) Johnson Jr., the late Russell (Sandra) Johnson, and the late Wally (Sandy) Johnson, was born and raised in Highland Park. Family and friends were Maryann’s passion and delight. Beloved wife of the late Harold “Morris” Crowe for 52 years, loving mother of Laura (Kurt) Krueger and Harold (Karen) Crowe, cherished grandmother of David (Brooke Williams) Krueger, Kyle, Michael, and Marianna Crowe, and proud great grandmother to Sophia Krueger. Maryann loved traveling with her family, especially to Door County Wisconsin, where she took her first steps, worked as a nanny during her teenage years, and spent countless summers with her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. North Carolina also held a special place in her heart, where she would spend time during the summer months with her dear sister in law Doris (Clark) Picklesimer, and brother in laws Joe (Late Bev) Crowe, Alvin (Joyce) Crowe, Wayne (Geri) Crowe, and Merlin (Agnes) Crowe. Aunt of Richard (Wendy), Ronnie, Randy (Christine), Gary (Lynn), Terry and Tammy Johnson and Linda (Clif) Evola-Stewart. Cousin of Terri (Ronny) Crowe, Gregg (Jeannie) Picklesimer, Debbie (Robert) Snuggs, Susan (Tim) Jefferies, Robert (Susan) Crowe, Cheryl Jenkins, Brian (Dawn) Crowe, Kenneth (Amanda) Crowe, Kayla (McClain), Michael (Kelli) Crowe, Billy (Beth) Crowe, John (Marjorie) Crowe, Tina (Michael) Rogers and Chris (Melissa) Crowe.
Maryann started styling hair, another life long passion, at the age of 19, and eventually worked out of her Wheeling home. Maryann loved to host and entertain.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15th from 3-8 PM at Kolssak Funeral Home 189 S. Milwaukee (2 blocks south of Dundee Rd) in Wheeling. Life Celebration Service Saturday 11 AM at the funeral home. A private family Inurnment service will be held at Blossomberg Cemetery in Door County, Wisconsin.
