Ed was born July 8, 1924 and grew up in Evanston. Ed was a World War II Air Force Veteran and was awarded numerous medals. He flew 31 combat missions during the war. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He is survived by his wife Jean; sons James (Cara), Mark (Julie) and Brian; step-children Phillip (Becky), Steven, Sheree and Nanette Block; 13 grandchildren. Ed was preceded in death by his sons mother, Joan. Memorial Visitation Saturday 12-4 PM at Kolssak Funeral Home 189 S. Milwaukee Ave (2 Blocks south of Dundee Rd) Wheeling.
