Betty I. Root nee Garstki age 86 of Buffalo Grove. Beloved wife of 60 years of the late Edward. Cherished mother of Jackie (Frank) Lapetino, Don (Patti) Root, Cheryl (Ted) Crowley, and the late Jim and Allen Root. Loving grandmother of Jenni, Jodi, Tim, Dave, Mike, Chris, Shannon, Karen, Kim, Ben, Keith, and Laura. Dear great-grandmother of many. Caring sister of 10 dearly departed brothers and sisters. Visitation Thursday 3 pm – 8 pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave (2 blocks south of Dundee Rd) Wheeling. Prayer services at Kolssak Funeral Home Friday 12 pm followed by Life Celebration Mass at 1 pm at St. Edna Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd. Arlington Heights. Interment at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
