Mathias Heinen, age 91, of Buffalo Grove formerly of Winnetka. Proud son of Luxembourg. Beloved husband of the late Marguerite for almost 60 years. Loving father of Jacqueline (Robert) Walton, Jeannette, Stephen and Deborah Heinen. Proud and loving grandfather of Stephanie, Mathias and Christopher. 25 year member of the Luxembourg Brotherhood of America Section 15 and founding member of the Luxembourg American Cultural Society. Longtime member of Knights of Columbus and Winnetka Lions Club. Visitation Friday 3-8pm at Kolssak Funeral Home 189 S Milwaukee Ave (2 blocks South of Dundee Rd) Wheeling. Funeral prayers Saturday 9:15 at the funeral home for a 10:00am Life Celebration Mass at St. Mary Church 10 N Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, IL. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery Northbrook, IL. Memorial donations to Luxembourg American Cultural Society Inc., PO Box 157 Belgium, WI 53004, Carmelite Monastery, 949 N River Road Des Plaines, IL 60016 or Midwest Palliative and Hospice Care Center at 2050 Claire Court Glenview, IL 60025 would be appreciated.
