We want to thank everyone who helped Mike in any way since his diagnosis with ALS. Whether you cared for him on a daily basis or just spent time with him when your schedules allowed it, it meant so much to him. He truly has the best family and friends of anyone I've ever met! To Kelly, Connor and Shaun, thank you for the daily love, support, and care you gave him. Being able to be at home the entire time he was sick was a godsend for him, and for us knowing that he was always with someone. To our family for spending as much time with Mike as we could. The times he spent in Arizona, out on hunting trips, on his "Lobster Trifecta" trip, and our Mexico trip were some of his happiest times. I know he loved spending time with everyone! To his amazing friends in Wheeling who never stopped including him, even when it was harder to get him to where you were going. He loved his Wednesday meetings at the Pub, Monday night football and pool with all his buddies, and even just watching TV or hanging out at the house. Thank you for always being there for him! To his wonderful caretakers who came to the house and cared for him everyday. He thought the world of all of you! We all miss Mike so much, but he is at peace and with our Mom in heaven, so he is blessed! Love to all! Cheryl, Earl and Parker Helder

Dear Kelly, Connor, Shaun, family and friends, I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for taking such good care of our your husband, your father, our brother, your cousin, your friend during the time since his diagnosis with ALS. Mike was never alone through any of this. Your love, understanding, compassion and courage strengthened his resolve and as a result he actually survived this affliction. My love and compassion for all of you will stay with me forever. My prayers go out to all of you, that you will find peace in knowing Mike is at peace now. He is home with God our father, Jesus our brother and with all of his loved ones that have preceeded him on this journey. Peace, love and joy be with all of you.
