Obituary of John Kraskiewicz

John Kraskiewicz age 92 of Northbrook. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine “Maggie” nee Gorny. Last surviving child of John and Michaline Kraskiewicz’s seven children. Dearest brother of the late Joan (late Raymond) Semmerling, late Robert (late Stella), late Eugene (late Helen), late Leona Wanat, late Matthew (late Dell) and the late Lydia (late Robert) Clausen. Dear uncle of Geraldine (Donald) Vahl, Paul (Maureen) Kraskiewicz, Janice (late Walter) Stempien, Shirley (Kenneth) Thompson, John (Jacky) Clausen, Michalina (late James) Costanza, Bernadette (Roger) Budny, Suzette Littwin, Michael Kraskiewicz, the late Eugene Kraskiewicz Jr. and the late Thomas (Joyce) Kraskiewicz. Fond great uncle of many. John was a WW II vet who served in the 1st Army in Europe. He was employed by GBC for 30 years retiring in 1988. Was a loyal listener to WGN and became friends with many of the personalities.Visitation Thursday 3-8 pm at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (2 Blocks South of Dundee Road) Wheeling and will continue Friday 9:30 am at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 1962 Old Willow Road, Northfield, IL followed by an 10:30 am Life Celebration Mass.
