For me, a sadness nearly as great as losing you is never having met you in person.
I am fortunate for having had deep technical and personal access to your skills, thoughts and insights. We shared so much that enriched my life, especially beyond art or model construction.
You have also earned the respect of and delighted literally hundreds of persons whom you instructed and inspired over the years.
You were a Special Man my friend. The void of your leaving can only be filled with memories and evidence of your marvelous work. But we are left fortunate for that.
Bless you and thank you. You will never be forgotten.
Your friend, 'Cato'...

He did so much for mag, covered my okole for so many years. You will be missed my friend!!!" - Gregg Hutchings

So sorry to hear of Harry's passing as he was well liked and will be missed by many in the model car world, as well as family and friends. While I don't think that I had ever met him, we did converse often on the Model Car Magazine forum as he had a great following in the Off-Topic section. May he rest in peace.

To the Pristovnik Family,
Like virtually all of the other posters I have seen thus far, I come here a car modeler, and in honor of someone who I considered a friend and mentor.
Harry made an absolutely gigantic contribution to the quality of hobby publishing generally, and to the quality of model car magazines, and Model Cars Magazine, in particular.
He ran the forum even-handedly, with thought and courtesy, as well as a sense of humor and inspired us to do better work and think carefully about what we built.
At present, I manage a hobby shop, and Model Cars is one magazine we anxiously await because it sells well and is a pleasure to read. Harry had a lot to do with that.
His presence will be missed greatly for many months and years to come.
And we all are richer for having so honorable and exemplary a man to be a part of our lives.
May many happy memories abide with you, and all of us.
On behalf of myself and MassCar Model Club of Canton, Ma., I extend our condolences.

I only met Harry online at MCM forum. He was a very great mod there. I wish I could have gotten to meet him in person. He knew how to build projects in his own way and how to bring them to life without adding very little detail to them. On MCM I always liked following his project builds when he shared the progress with the follow board members there like myself. He was the one that got me to use wood stain on some of his projects that got me to on my very own model projects after he showed how great looking it could be if done right that a lot of people didn't think would work but it did. Harry tought a lot of us follow model car builders things over time and helped us at doing better at our builds. Harry will be greatly miss by a lot of folks that knew him on and offline.

Much like many others, I only knew Harry thru MCM. I always enjoyed seeing his completed projects, and learned a lot from his work, and his comments/advice on others work.
He will be missed, and thought of often.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Like many to come I met Harry through Model Cars website.
Harry made a true difference for ALL of us there. He was firm in his beliefs and high in praise where it was merited. A more truthful soul we could not have wished for.
My only dealings were at the site and we never met, yet Harry touched mine and many other lives with wisdom and his rye wit.
Go to the site to see how Harry is already missed as tales of him continue to pour in from his friends there.
A great many of us contributed to Harry's Go Fund Me in the hopes me we in some small way help him recover his life and return to us whole.
I want to wish sincere condolences to Harry's family. As extended family I feel you in some small way, but loss of this import is truly only felt by those nearest.
I was as near as I could ever be and this affects me profoundly.
Harry was loved and befriended by many you do not know. I am but one.
All my deepest respects
