John A. Silich, age 63, of Ridgeland S.C. formerly of Melrose Park. Beloved father of Sean (Mia) Silich and Jennifer Silich. Cherished grandfather of Gabriella, Giulianna, Sadye and Sinalyn. Devoted brother of Constantine (Diane), Patrina (the late Thomas) Paxton, Ronald (Betty) and Donald (Penny). Fond uncle of Natalie, Natasha, Jennie, Thomas, Sammy and Jack. Nephew of Beatrice Wonsowicz and Liz (Nicholas) Noto. John worked at Northwest Airlines as an avionics specialist and was a proud US Marine and veteran of the Vietnam War. Visitation Wednesday 3-8pm at Kolssak Funeral Home 189 S Milwaukee Ave. (2 blocks South of Dundee). Funeral prayers Thursday 9:15am at the funeral home for a 10am Life Celebration Mass at St. Mary Church 10 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove. In lieu of flowers donations to Vietnam Agent Orange Relief and Responsibility Campaign at www.vn-agentorange.org or a US Marine Corps charity of your choice.
