Fr. Robert J. Novak, age 96, Archdiocesan priest of Chicago for 71 years. Passed away peacefully of natural causes. Son of the late Anton C. and Mabel D.. Brother of the late Dorothy (William) Radke, Viola Novak, A. Charles Novak, Mabel (J. Edward) Mann. Uncle of William (Marie) Radke, Dorothy (Daniel) Homfelt, Patricia (Lawrence) Mayer, Margaret (Melvin) Johnson and the late Mary Jean Radke. Great-uncle of three nieces and three nephews. Great-grand uncle of three nieces and one nephew. Robert was ordained in 1942. He served at St. Leonard in Berwyn until 1949, St Hilary in Chicago until 1957, St. Leo in Chicago until 1966. He served as chaplain at St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan until 1975. Visitation Friday from 3-7pm at the Addolorata Villa Parlor, 555 McHenry Road Wheeling. Visitation will continue Saturday from 9 am until an 11am Life Celebration Mass at the Addolorata Villa. Private interment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
