Obituary of Daniel Halazonitis

Daniel Halazonitis “The Greek”, age 69, of Chicago. Dear son of the late Nicholas and Margaret Halazonitis. Best friend and soul mate of Sandra Halazonitis. Loving father of Niko (Jodie), Candice (Jonathan) Keller, Danielle and Christopher (Michelle) Halazonitis. Proud Papou of Alyssa, Taylor, Payton, Emily, Declan Dionysios, Olivia, and Dionisios. Cherished brother of Mary and Linda. Fond uncle and cousin of many. Companion of Bonny Bumiller. Daniel proudly served with the Chicago Police Department. Daniel enjoyed numerous hobbies including chess, speed skating, astronomy, wrestling, bird watching and photography. He will be remembered for his one of a kind personality, intelligence, caring nature and tremendous sense of humor. Daniel was a great mentor who touched the lives of everyone that he met. Life Celebration Service Tuesday 12pm with visitation to follow until 4pm at Kolssak Funeral Home.
